Jungle Habitat is an amazing place and story in time.
Located in West Milford , New Jersey , U. S. A.
This bizarre sort of drive- thru Zoo created by
Warner Brothers was like no other public place ever on earth.
People at random would drive their own vehicles into a wildlife park
by the car or bus load
where lions tigers and bears ran free.
Folks and family's would drive through various compound areas
designated for particular types of predator animals.
You get the idea.
Dangerous!
Sometimes visitors would roll down their car windows and
try to feed these vicious animals getting mauled and once even killed.
Sometimes people would escape near death situations by having their own
car doors closed on them by 700 pound Siberian tigers.
This happening after getting out of their own cars to retrieve
a six pack of beer or sandwiches from their cooler in the trunk.
Missed by inches of being attacked by a wild cat or bear.
Narrow escapes galore witnessed on an hourly basis.
There was no real supervision at Jungle Habitat and many visiting there assumed
because these animals were loose that they were also harmless.
Big mistakes.
No insurance policies at this place available due to the understanding
that everyone enters at their own risk.
Signs were almost everywhere regarding this fact.
Warner Brothers was never in any way responsible for your
health or vehicle during your stay .
